We are your local Conservative Electoral District Association

Welcome to the Northumberland-Clarke Conservative Association. We are a dedicated group of community members who share a commitment to conservative values and principles.

As an organization, our mission is to promote these ideals within our riding and to support policies and candidates that reflect our beliefs in limited government, personal responsibility, and common sense values. We are the successor to the Northumberland-Peterborough South Electoral District Association. Please read the news update from May 26, 2024 for information.

New Electoral District Boundaries

The Northumberland-Clarke electoral district includes urban and rural populations. Cobourg, Brighton, Port Hope, Trent Hills and Newcastle are some urban areas. Rural communities include Alderville First Nation and the townships of Alnwick/Haldimand, Cramahe and Hamilton. See Elections Canada voter information service for more details on our boundaries.

Our Mission

Our mission is to:

  • Engage and Educate: We strive to educate the public on key issues affecting our community and to engage citizens in the political process.
  • Support Conservative Candidates: We work diligently to identify, support, and promote candidates who represent conservative ideals and who can effectively advocate for our community’s needs at all levels of government.
  • Advocate for Policy: We actively participate in the policy-making process, ensuring that the voices of our members are heard. Our goal is to influence legislation and public policy that align with our conservative principles.

About our M.P.

About Our Association

The Electoral District Association represents Conservative Party of Canada members in the designated electoral district. The electoral district name and boundaries were recently redefined by the Government of Canada. The change from Northumberland-Peterborough South to Northumberland-Clarke is explained in this newsletter https://www.northumberlandclarkecpc.ca/our_new_association_northumberland_clarke_cpc. Currently, the association operates under the legacy name Northumberland-Peterborough South Conservative Association. Conservative MP Philip Lawrence continues to represent residents of the legacy electoral boundaries, until the next election in 2025.

The Association links to the Conservative Party of Canada which offers party memberships. Party membership includes membership in the local association. See https://secure.conservative.ca/en/membership

In addition, the Association accepts donations that meet the requirements of the Government of Canada and the Conservative Party of Canada. See the Donations page for details. https://www.northumberlandclarkecpc.ca/donate
